Vlad Artemyev has not spoken to his father for over 25 years. A sudden phone call could have saved the relationship between the men, but the conversation never took place... Why have father and son not been able to find common ground for a quarter of a century, and what makes Artemiev the younger return to his father's house on the shores of the Azov Sea?

The history of the Ivan Mykolaychuk Cultural and Art Centre began in 1968. Back then, the Druzhba cinema was built in Chernivtsi. 21 years later, it was named after Ivan Mykolaychuk.

The next important event was the reconstruction of the building designed by Yaroslav Boyko (BOYKO ARCHITECT GROUP). It was completed in 2020, and the following year the centre became fully operational.

Ivan Mykolaichuk Cultural and Art Centre

Today, it is a modern institution of the Chernivtsi territorial community, which has become the main location of the Mykolaychuk OPEN festival of audience films. The events will take place in the cinema hall, which can accommodate 352 people, the Ivan-Hub art space and the Ivan Mykolaychuk Museum.
